Curtain Bluff - Antigua Wedding
Posted on July 8, 2008
Congratulations to Priscilla and Noah who were married last month at Curtain Bluff in Antigua. If you’re reading the blog to get ideas of where to go for a honeymoon, or even a venue to get married at I can highly recommend it. At first when you look at the price of a room per night you’ll probably get sticker shock but when you consider that it’s all inclusive, all of the sudden it doesn’t seem so bad. When I say all inclusive that means breakfast, lunch and dinner plus afternoon tea, and their chef is absolutely fantastic. A number of activities are included as well. If you want to go waterskiing just walk down to the beach house and let them know and they’ll take you out. There’s Hobie Cats (catamarans) available for sailing as well as sit on top kayaks. The dive boat leaves twice a day to take guests out snorkeling near one of the coral reefs or you can just go snorkeling right of their beach if you’d like (I saw a spotted eagle ray right off the beach, it was absolutely amazing). You can bring your mask, snorkel and fins if you want but you don’t need to as they have everything there. If you’re a certified SCUBA diver they also have dive trips. There’s live music every night and on Tuesdays there’s cooking classes with their world class chef.

The wedding dress came from Priscilla of Boston. A perfect match!

If you go, you need to try the Chocolate Molten Lava Cake. Trust me on this. Heck, I could justify going back specifically for the chocolate molten lava cake. It’s nothing short of amazing!

Blue Inn - Plum Island Newbury, MA
Posted on July 8, 2008
Congratulations to Jen and Andrew. Plum Island is an area I’m familiar with through my love of sea kayaking. If you time the tides right you can circumnavigate the whole Island and enjoy the beautiful scenery that it has to offer. The Blue Inn located on Plum Island is nice little getaway. It’s close to Boston but secluded enough to get away from city life and offers gorgeous, spacious rooms right on the beach. If you’re having a small intimate wedding of about 40 or so people it’s a perfect little spot.

The Paulist Center and Pinehills Golf Course
Posted on July 8, 2008
Well, I’ve neglected updating my blog forever now so I’m going to try and play catchup here. Congrats to Jill and Jason who were married at The Paulist Center on a gorgeous day in September. We did formals in the Boston Public Gardens and then headed down to the Pinehills Golf Course in Plymouth for the reception.
